A Four-Year Journey of Christian Formation

Kingdom Cultivation is a four-year Christian formation journey rooted in Jesus’ command to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Through biblical teaching, prayer, guided reflection, practical application, and accountable community, students learn to bring every area of life under the rule of Christ. The journey progresses through restoration, deliverance, formation, and commissioning, helping students mature in their identity in Christ and live from the freedom secured through His finished work. Kingdom Cultivation emphasizes identity before assignment, formation before function, and faithful stewardship of one’s life, calling, and Kingdom responsibilities.
1

Focus: Seeking the Kingdom, soul restoration, identity in Christ, renewing the mind, inner healing, emotional maturity, and bringing the inner life under the rule of Christ.

Year 1 focuses on seeking first the Kingdom of God while allowing biblical truth to address the condition of the inner life. Students examine how life experiences, wounds, beliefs, and patterns have influenced the way they think, respond, relate, and live. Through the Word of God, prayer, guided reflection, and practical application, they grow in their identity in Christ, renew their minds, and receive truth in areas that need restoration. This year establishes the foundation for emotional maturity, spiritual formation, and a life increasingly governed by the rule of Christ.

Focus: Spiritual freedom, breaking recurring cycles, discipleship, and living under the rule of Christ.

Year 2 focuses on spiritual freedom and confronting the cycles that keep believers bound, reactive, or stagnant. Building upon the restoration begun in Year I, students examine recurring patterns, spiritual oppression, sinful behaviors, emotional wounds, harmful agreements, internalized lies, and unrenewed thinking. They learn to discern what has kept these cycles active and apply biblical truth with wisdom and personal responsibility.

Students explore the difference between experiencing deliverance and maintaining freedom through discipleship. Biblical practices of repentance, renunciation, forgiveness, prayer, obedience, and renewing the mind are applied with maturity and discernment. Students learn to establish boundaries, practice spiritual discipline, remain accountable, and abide in Christ. This year moves students from deliverance into dominion by teaching them to live consistently under the rule of Christ.

Focus: Character formation, calling, spiritual gifts, discernment, healthy boundaries, relationships, and servant leadership.

Year 3 focuses on forming students for the function God has entrusted to them. Building upon restoration and freedom, students examine how character, motives, relationships, habits, and spiritual maturity affect the way they carry their gifts and calling. They learn to distinguish gifting from maturity, activity from assignment, and visibility from divine timing.

Through biblical teaching and practical application, students develop discernment, healthy boundaries, relational wisdom, servant leadership, and ethical responsibility. Emphasis is placed on becoming faithful before becoming visible and allowing the character of Christ to govern how gifts are expressed. Students also learn to recognize their function within the body of Christ and serve without comparison, competition, or striving. This year prepares them to carry responsibility with humility, wisdom, and integrity.

Focus: Responsible service, servant leadership, mentoring, discernment, ethical boundaries, accountable care, and faithful stewardship.

Year IV transitions students from personal formation into responsible service. Building upon restoration, freedom, and formation, students learn how to apply what they have received while serving others with wisdom, humility, and accountability. The course develops foundational skills in servant leadership, prayer, mentoring, encouragement, communication, and responsible care. Students are equipped to serve without assuming authority beyond their calling, training, or level of responsibility.

Emphasis is placed on discernment, ethical boundaries, aftercare awareness, appropriate referrals, and ministry that protects the dignity of others. Students learn how to support people without projecting personal wounds, creating dependence, manipulating vulnerability, or attempting to function as licensed professionals. They also examine how to remain accountable, recognize their limitations, and serve in alignment with Christ. Year IV reinforces that healthy service flows from abiding in Christ, mature character, and love rather than gifting alone.
